2012 Compliance Issues Concerning MSHA Regulation Impact Mining Companies More Than Ever!

                            Greetings from Alaska!

Welcome to GoldenMonkey, your source for information about mining, mining companies, mining regulations and most importantly how these topics may affect you as a miner.

Topics will apply most directly to AK but there will be stuff here useful to everyone and your posts are very appreciated, please add your insights.

My goals are twofold: to create a forum for miners to find tips on complying with the ever-changing regulatory environment and to help us get the most out of our mining efforts.

I will be posting information at Street Articles with links to this site that cover as many of the regulatory hurdles as I can, one little piece at a time.  If the effort helps us each avoid one violation it will be worth it!  There's a chance I may also be presenting at a meeting or conference, in which case I will upload video if possible.

Tips on how to increase recovery, lower costs, reduce environmental impact, and maintain health and safety can also be expected whenever handy.  Along the way I will try to showcase mining companies, equipment, and jobs whenever possible to benefit the Alaska mining community and miners at large.

Please post insights and questions so we can work together to find solutions to our common problems.  Thank you and happy digging!

  2. I guess their gov't has made statements asking for international workers because their population can't support the growth in this sector...

  4. The MSHA department is supposed to have a big effect on mining companies since they want to promote health and safety, operations of mining companies should comply unless they are not concerned with the health and safety of their workers and the living things around the worksite.
